Our work facing COVID - 19

Since the beginning of 2020, we are facing one of the greatest challenges we have ever had as a society.

This pandemic has challenged all areas worldwide, being the health sector one of the most collapsed by the lack of capacity in medical care.

Our commitment as O2 has remained firm, which is why in the month of July 2020 for a period of 4 months, our clinic made available to the Social Security its facilities and technological equipment of its Huancaro and Yanahuara sites at no cost and for the benefit of the entire population

We are aware that from each position we are in, we have the responsibility to help each other, take care of each other and try to stop its expansion.

We have managed to have a specialized area for the care of Covid 19, working at all times with the established safety protocols to minimize the risks of spread and contagion of the disease.

Likewise, in order to respond to the needs of our patients, we have implemented virtual care for general medicine consultations and Covid 19 through telemedicine and home hospitalizations to provide timely care and assistance.

We are in a constant process of continuous improvement of our services, processes, care, protocols, operational and response capacity, always seeking the best quality and safety for our patients.

How does COVID-19 spread?

According to the WHO, contagion occurs through contact with an infected person, even if he/she does not have any symptoms, since the virus is spread by saliva particles when an infected person coughs or sneezes. . It is said that these particles only reach up to 1 meter away from the person who emits them.

Therefore, we must take certain measures to avoid contracting and spreading this virus:

  • Wash your hands frequently, at least 20 seconds with soap and water. It is important to do this even if there is no visible dirt on your hands.
  • Stay away from sick people
  • Do not touch your face (mouth, nose or eyes).
  • Maintain a minimum distance of one meter with the rest of the people. (Social Distancing)
  • Practice respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your elbow or folded handkerchief when you cough or sneeze. Immediately discard used tissue
  • Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing; if you are caring for someone; when you are preparing food, cooking meats and/or eggs. Also after eating; after using the toilet; if your hands are dirty, and/or you have been around farm or wild animals.
  • Stay at home and practice social isolation or quarantine.
  • Stay home if you feel sick
  • Follow the updated instructions of your country's health authorities.

Treatment of Covid - 19

There is still no specific treatment for Covid 19 Coronavirus, so YOU SHOULD NOT SELF-MEDICATE, most measures consist of the use of palliative treatments to alleviate symptoms and their effectiveness depends on the severity of the disease and the response of each body.

  • Monitor oxygen saturation with a pulse oximeter
  • Avoid contact with people at risk such as pregnant women, the elderly, immunocompromised persons, and others.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • You can use alcohol in several of its presentations in case you cannot wash your hands at that moment.
  • Keep rooms ventilated day and night.
  • Contact your doctor, health care professional or the Covid hotline - 19 for advice.
